PINKIE: the body talk

elle italy photo by Jason Kibbler

The Body Talk with Marc by Marc Jacobs swimwear "Body": Pinkie!

Pinkie Is with NEXT (NY).

PONY RYDER: Pinkie, how do you stay in shape?
PINKIE: Sometime I just feel like going to the gym everyday for a few months. Then I don't feel like doing it at all.

PONY RYDER: When you first started modeling, did you have perfect measurements or did you have to work on your body?
PINKIE: I was a ballet dancer for 8 years. So I was always in a shape. And it's a great experience to be on a stage.

PONY RYDER: What products do you use for nourishing your body?
PINKIE: Anything with olive oil or coconut.

PONY RYDER: How about food, do you have any food regime?
PINKIE: I eat healthy. I love fruit. I can eat it all day long. But it doesn’t mean I eat only fruit. I like different kinds of food. I love Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, French... and Russian cuisine. ;)

PONY RYDER: What do you eat for breakfast?
PINKIE: I usually eat muesli. And I can't start my day without a good cup of latte.

PONY RYDER: Do you prefer cakes or salted food? If so, which is your favorite?
PINKIE: I prefer salted. But sometimes I can't live without a piece of chocolate.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Swimwear

PONY RYDER: You are the face, or should I say the body of Marc by Marc Jacobs Swimwear s/s 09. How were you cast for this campaign?
PINKIE: I was at home watching TV. I had a day off. And Beth (my agent) called and said that I have a casting this afternoon for Marc Jacobs swimwear. I went to meet photographer Leigh Johnson at her friend’s apartment. We talked. She asked me to try on some suits and we made some polaroids. And in a few days we were shooting Marc by Marc Jacobs swimwear.

PONY RYDER: Tell us more about the people who worked on that campaign.
PINKIE: We had so much fun!! I could do whatever I wanted ;) I could pose silly and sad.. I could jump or eat my hair. We just laughed all day long!! It's a great team to work with.
