AUSTRALIA'S NEXT TOP MODEL: who will win?

Posted on: 2011/10/21

We watch Australia's next top model regularly! Except the Kardashians, Australia's TV producers - really know how to make great reality shows (in general). Designer Alex Perry and (former model?) Charlotte Dawson as judges and botox lovers, are definitely not lacking in quotable material. Even if, we must notice, Alex Perry seems to be little quieter this season. Such a shame.

Montana, Liz and Simone made it into final 3. Montana seems to be the front runner, Liz is B E A U T I F U L, and Simone has Kardashians body. The season finale is worth watching! Torrents my darlings.

MORWENNA LYTTON COBBOLD:

Top 5 tracks on my iTunes at the moment:

Stone Roses – Tell Me

Elastica – Line Up

Alice in Chains – Rain When I Die

PR: You are not only a model. You are also a DJ?

MORWENNA: I've been Djing with my friend Matthew Laskey for around 4 years.

PR: Did you already have gigs?
MORWENNA: We have a saturday night residency in the Parlour at Sketch (London) and so when we travel for work we can cover for each other. I've also DJ at fashion parties and industry events, and clubs from Paul & Andre's in LA to boat parties on the Thames.

I'm also a photographer – I graduated from a photography degree at London College of Fashion last year. I mainly do portraiture, but always have a camera on me. I’ve been modeling in LA and Sydney over the past year and did a few big portrait projects while travelling which I’m hoping to do a book and exhibition of eventually.

PR: Would you put Adele on your playlist?

MORWENNA:  I think she's got an amazing voice but I'm more into guitar-based music. I have quite random music tastes... old folk music, 70s disco... I've been listening to a lot of 90s grunge over Paris Fashion Week.

HANNA RUNDLOF:  Depends! Now that I’m not in school and I have a bit of time in the morning I like to boil some eggs and eat it with caviar, and I love oatmeal and yogurt with cereals!

PONY RYDER:  As a model... do you avoid eating sugar…or bread?

HANNA RUNDLOF:  I guess I could (maybe should), but not in my case!
I’m too weak for that! I love Friday nights in front of the TV with a bowl of candy! And who can live without a great piece of bread and a glass of milk?

PONY RYDER: Don't ask me. Beauty now! What is the best tip that you picked up from the beauty professionals?

HANNA RUNDLOF:  That the only thing that helps for dry lips is to drink a lot of water! And to keep good skin is to start the shower very hot and end it freezing cold!

I wear foundation from BareMinerals, my favorite item in my make-up bag is my brow stick from Givenchy.

I also wear their brow pen/brush its great and I think that the eyebrows are one of the most important thing in the face to have in good shape!

TFS
PONY RYDER:  If you could hang somewhere all the time… where would that be?

HANNA RUNDLOF:  At Havana beach!

I was there once for a shooting. The food at the beach restaurant was the best I ever had! Fish that they just fished and we ate it on big leafs. And the beach itself, sooo amazing! And the water was all clear.

LONDON TRAVEL GUIDE: Where to eat

Stella Magazine
KATERINA SMUTOK:

"One day try the real English Breakfast. I like the place Sofra near Bond street [23 Barrett Street, W1U 1BF]. It’s in St Christopher's Place, little square behind Oxford street with a little fountain with many different cafes and restaurants like Carluccio’s and Café Creperie where you can enjoy lunch later.

Sofra is actually a Turkish place, with the real English Breakfast. They have the best sausages, good fried bacon and crunchy toasts. You can order you own breakfast with different ingredients, but I suggest the traditional plate.

A little bonus is that the 5th breakfast is free. Last time I was there, my table neighbours, Russians, were discussing their preference in club music so they could have been talking about a newly opened art gallery In Soho or Mayfair."

KATERINA SMUTOK:

"London is definitely a city for office workers who have lunch near their work; in fact most of the buildings have their own cafes. You can not miss that there are thousands of fast-food shop and cafes: Eat, Costa, Nero, Starbacks and my favourite, Pret-a-Mangers. Always fresh salads, sandwiches, hot rolls and soups."

KATERINA SMUTOK:

"Most of the supermarkets like Tesco and the network of Boots pharmacies also have stands with ready, prepared food.

One big Sainsbury store next to my agency has a buffet.

Additionally, there are millions of Middle Eastern places with kebabs, especially on Edgware Road, so you’ll never be hungry in-between your fashion appointments."

"Fish and chips as a traditional meal are definitely for tourists.

I remember eating it only once in the Sports Caféin Piccadilly [80 Haymarket, SW1Y 4TE], where they show live sports from everywhere in the world, because my team lost I decided that Fish&Chips is bad luck.

But I want to come back to Sports Café to play pool."

"I never tried the real 5 o’clock Tea. Instead of that I love to pop up sometimes to Momo on Heddon Street [25-27 Heddon Street, London W1B 4BH] and have Moroccan Afternoon Tea in glass cups. Try their special tea with rose water."

KATERINA SMUTOK:

"And, yeah, Mo-Mo puddings, love the pancakes with nuts and syrup. Once I went there with my Moscow friend and she shocked the waiter by asking for all the desserts on the menu – poor guy wasn’t ready for Russian generosity. By the way, it’s a great place for smoking Shisha if you’re a fan of it."

KATERINA SMUTOK:

"Every evening at about 5pm the rush hour starts. Not on the streets, but in the bars. Any place is good, but I was very often in Coach and Horses [26-28 Ray Street, EC1R 3DJ] near St.Martins College as my friend was studying there. It was fun to speak with future fashion, web and interior designers."
